This year, talented performers from three amazing secondary schools from Hong Kong: King’s College, Canossa College, and Christian & Missionary Alliance Sun Kei Secondary School, will form a combined orchestra and come to Melbourne to participate in our 43rd anniversary concert. 今年, 香港的英皇書院、嘉諾撒書院和宣基中學三間中學的中樂校隊將組成聯合樂隊，前來墨爾本參加演出，敬請期待。
To mark our 43rd anniversary, we’re thrilled to collaborate with three outstanding secondary school Chinese orchestras from Hong Kong — King’s College, Canossa College, and Christian and Missionary Alliance Sun Kei Secondary School — in our upcoming annual concert on Sunday, 17th August 2025. This concert is more than just a performance. It is a celebration of culture that connects people across cities, generations, and musical traditions.
Join us for an unforgettable musical journey celebrating the richness of traditional and contemporary orchestral works! Our program features a vibrant selection of Chinese classics, including the festive “Panning for Gold”, the emotional “Song of the Frontier”, lively dizi solo “Wu Bangzi” and the dramatic “Ambush from Ten Sides”, alongside beloved ensemble pieces such as “Memory of Childhood”, “General’s Order” and “Awa Mountain”. We also present modern adaptations, including the cinematic “Black Myth: Wukong Soundtrack”, the touching “Palm of the Hand”, and the dynamic “Matsuri” by Kitaro. With a mix of solo performances and full orchestra arrangements, this concert will take you on a journey through history, culture, and emotion.
The soul of every orchestra lies in its conductor and we are truly fortunate to be led by the ever-inspiring Mr. Yat Ping Chan. Mr. Chan has been the musical backbone of Chao Feng Chinese Orchestra. The concert will also feature Mr. Shing Tai Cheng, the dedicated conductor leading all three Hong Kong school orchestras. Mr. Cheng has long been a driving force behind inter-school collaboration, and this special joint performance in Melbourne is a true reflection of his vision for musical unity across borders. We are also pleased to welcome Xiao Jin Ling to the conductor’s podium. While many audience members may remember him for his captivating Sheng performances in past concerts, this time he will be taking on the role of conductor, bringing his deep musical insight and vibrant spirit to the stage. He will be joined by student conductors Hong Yiu Ma and Zhe Yan Lee, whose passion and youthful energy promise to add a fresh dimension to the performance.

肇風中樂團43週年音樂會【華韻喜傳承】
為慶祝成立43週年，肇風中樂團將與來自香港的三所傑出中學中樂團：英皇書院、嘉諾撒書院及基督教宣道會宣基中學聯手舉辦【華韻喜傳承】音樂會。此次盛會以中華民族器樂之美，譜寫一場穿越地域與世代的文化交會。音樂會精選多首風格多元、動靜皆宜的傳統與現代民樂佳作，藉由樂聲呈現「承傳中樂、喜悅共鳴」的主題精神，讓觀眾在音符中感受文化的薪火相傳與創新的火花。
指揮是每個樂團的靈魂，而我們何其有幸，能由永遠充滿藝術感染力的陳一平先生執棒引領。陳先生多年來始終是肇風中樂團的中流砥柱，以其精湛技藝與深厚修養滋養著樂團的成長。本次音樂會更榮幸邀請到香港三校中樂團的音樂總監鄭丞泰先生同台獻藝。鄭先生多年來致力於青少年中樂教育與樂團發展，曾多次促成三校聯合演出。此次遠赴澳洲合演，更體現其跨地域文化交流的遠見與努力。我們同時欣喜迎來凌曉進先生登上指揮台。許多觀眾或許仍對他過往音樂會中令人沉醉的笙演奏記憶猶新，此番他將以指揮身份登場，將其深邃的音樂見解與蓬勃活力帶上舞台。與他同台的還有學生指揮馬康耀與李哲仁，他們的熱情與青春氣息，勢必為演出注入嶄新氣象。

- 合奏：《將軍令》—— 展現古代將軍英姿的蘇南吹打名曲
- 合奏：《滇西土風三首·阿佤山》—— 郭文景取材佤族風情的原始狂想
- 合奏：《手掌心》—— 改編自電視劇《蘭陵王》的動人旋律
- 合奏：《黑神話：悟空》配樂《雲宮迅音》—— 經典《西遊記》主題的全新演繹
- 笛子獨奏：《五梆子》—— 北派梆笛宗師馮子存的代表性作品
- 合奏：《十面埋伏》—— 描繪楚漢之爭的史詩級名曲
- 合奏：《響宴》—— 喜多郎《古事記》中祭神儀式的磅礴再現
