Chao Feng Chinese Orchestra and Dachung Youth Chinese Classical Orchestra of Taiwan

Chao Feng Chinese Orchestra has "sister" relationships with the following regional Chinese orchestras: –

The Hong Kong Juvenile and Youth Chinese Orchestra 香港青少年國樂團

The Hong Kong YWCA Chinese Orchestra 香港女青中樂團

The Dachung Youth Chinese Classical Orchestra from Taiwan 台灣大中青少年國樂團

The Hong Kong La Salle College Chinese Orchestra 香港喇沙書院中樂團

 

Chao Feng Chinese Orchestra is also fortunate to be closely associated with The Australian Chinese Music Ensemble and other highly acclaimed Chinese musicians in Melbourne.

 

THE AUSTRALIAN CHINESE MUSIC ENSEMBLE
The Chao Feng Chinese Orchestra has collaborated and jointly performed  with the Australian Chinese Music Ensemble on a number of occasions. Sheng soloist Dr. Zhengting Wang
王正亭博士and Dizi soloist Mr. Qiuming Dong 董秋明老師 both members of this Ensemble also tutor a number of CFCO members. The Ensemble is an internationally acclaimed group which performs regularly at major festivals and musical events all over Australia

MR. Pangeng  Shen 沈蟠庚老師
Mr. Shen is an erhu soloist and was formerly assistant professor of the Music Department at Nanjing Education University. He is now a music teacher and music director of the Penleigh & Essendon Grammar Chinese Orchestra. Mr. Shen was conductor of the Orchestra's annual concerts in 1991 and 1992, and has performed with us many times including the famous “Reflection of the Moon in the Er Quan
二泉映月”.

 

Mr. Hao Zheng  鄭浩老師

Mr. Zheng was  the principal Erhu of “Little Red Flower Arts Ensemble 南京小紅花兒童藝術團”when he was a child. He  trained at Nanjing Arts Academy before immigrating to Australia in 1995. Mr. Zheng is a member of  the Australian Chinese Music Ensemble. In 2004 Mr. Zheng was the conductor of Chao Feng Chinese Orchestra’s 22nd Anniversary Concert - “ When Music Blossoms”. In 2007, Mr. Zheng performed with Chao Feng many times, including the famous Erhu solo piece “The Parting Song of the Newly Weds 新婚別
